My Story
My name is Beverley D’Arcy and I am the owner and creator of Bev’s Baubles Jewellery which I established 20 years ago this year.
The idea came from having $7000 worth of jewellery from party plan days just sitting in the shed doing nothing.
Off to Melbourne I went, bought more jewellery, scarves and handbags, I rented a shop and away we went!.
After a few years, I added a wholesale section to the business, regularly travelling to China on buying trips, thus extending the business greatly. Having an agent selling all over Australia also did wonders for the business.
Twelve years ago, I moved to a much bigger premises and had to make a decision, what products did I need to fill the extra area with. Out shopping for clothes just after the move, I had what I call a fat day, everything I tried on didn’t fit, not many plus size clothes available in the area. Hence, the germ of an idea for ladies fashions was born specialising in Plus sizes!.
